Meeting these two has been a long time coming! Lisa and I have been talking for what seems like forever at this point, and we finally got together to create some magic during their summer engagement session in Buffalo!

When deciding where in Buffalo to take their engagement photos, Lisa said she would love if this piece of art be included and holy macaroni, what a great backdrop! The mural is titled “Wildflowers For Buffalo” by Louise Jones/Ouizi. It was created in 2018 as part of the Albright Knox public art initiative. Lisa is a graphic designer herself (find her at Lisa H. Design), so it was only fitting beautiful artwork be incorporated.

After the first half of our session downtown, we headed to Tifft Nature Preserve for the rest of their engagement photos. I’m such a fan of open space like this. It really allows the focus of your image to be on the subject, capturing the feelings and emotions. Personally, it also pushes me to get a little more creative with the space!

Needless to say, I’m so excited to photograph Lisa and Josh’s wedding day!
