Couple during wedding ceremony in brick courtyard surrounded by twinkling string lights

Hotel at the Lafayette Wedding | Buffalo, NY

When Rachel and AJ reached out to me about photographing their fall wedding at The Hotel at the Lafayette, I instantly loved them. Rachel shared as they were discussing the vision they had, they realized what they valued most was documenting the day because they know how much it will mean to them years down the road. The photos of their friends, family, feelings, little details, and the passing moments they might miss or forget as time goes on. YESSSS. This is what it’s all about. Wedding photography is not just about beautiful photos, but about the monumental meaning within them.

As they shared a private first look and read one another their handwritten vows, the emotion was overwhelming. It was one of the most moving and sincere moments I’ve had the honor of documenting.

The ceremony was held in the courtyard with twinkling lights strung across the building from above. It was perfectly intimate with only immediate friends and family in attendance. During their reception they also had a traditional Korean Pyebaek ceremony in which parents, relatives, and friends offered advice and well-wishes to the newlyweds.

What a wonderful wedding day! I’m so grateful to have photographed it!
