Fall Wedding at The Brickhall, The Sterling at Arrowhead Reception | Buffalo, NY

“We truly both consider ourselves to be the lucky one.” After sharing her and Evan’s love story, this is how Megan ended her initial message to me in search of their wedding photographer. Having gotten to know them in the time leading up to their wedding day, I can see why they each feel this way. Their relationship is one to be admired and what an honor it was to have gotten a front row seat to this beautiful start of forever.

The day was truly beautiful. Buffalo had the most vibrant fall colors on full display for their October wedding, the sun was shining, laughter and tears filled the day. It began with their wedding ceremony at The Brickhall in The Hollow in Clarence, New York. I had photographed events here prior but this was the first wedding day, and the environment was so cozy and intimate for a wedding celebration. They had three live musicians playing, who also happened to be family members, and a close friend to marry them. Guests tossed petals in excitement as they exited!

Their reception was held at The Sterling at Arrowhead Golf Course, just a short 10 minute drive to Akron, New York. Immediately stepping into the venue, the decor and design was stunning. Beautiful custom signage, lush florals, and a handwritten note for each guest from the newlyweds. Talk about a personal touch! I’d never seen anyone do this before, but then again, these two are beyond thoughtful I shouldn’t have been surprised to find such a heartfelt gift.

A unique part of The Sterling is their catwalk overlooking the space. Often times couples will be introduced from here with everyone cheering from below, or even do a first dance there! As a wedding photographer, it is always so fun to photograph that moment!

As dinner was winding down and wedding guests mingled, Megan snuck up to the bridal suite for a surprise hair cut with only a select few people who knew it would be taking place! She came down with about shoulder length hair and shocked her bridesmaids, dad, and new husband! Needless to say she could pull off any look!

It was truly such a beautiful day from beginning to end, I’m grateful to have been able to photograph it all! Congratulations again, Megan and Evan!!
