NICE TO MEET YOU!
I am a natural light photographer who lives for the magic of unplanned moments. To me that's the good stuff that fills our lives. The soft, intimate moments when your love squeezes your hand tight just before leaning in to whisper I love you, and the loud, lively moments that make you laugh so hard you could pee your pants. When you look back at these photos in 20 years, I want you to smile big and remember exactly how you felt.
Celebrating love makes my heart jump and if you can't tell, I LOVE what I do.
A little bit more about me:
I was born in Germany but spent most of my life growing up in Michigan. Now I reside in New York - the Empire State! I'm married to my high school sweetheart and a majority of our time is dedicated to loving on our little beagle-mix rescue pup, Mia. She's a handful but I'm obsessed with her, like any good dog mom should be. Reality TV is my guilty pleasure. (Where are my fellow Big Brother and Bachelor fans at?) Traveling is one of my favorite things to do. My most recent trips were to the beautiful mountains of Utah and busy streets of London, England! And last but definitely most important, you will never catch me going anywhere without snacks, so if you get hungry mid-session, I've got you covered.
In my element. Honestly, I can't believe this is my job sometimes. I am so grateful to get to connect with so many amazing people and capture moments that will be passed down for generations. What an honor it is to be the one chosen to help tell your story.
Mia, Assistant to the Regional Manager here at Jessy Herman Photo. Bonus points if you understood that reference. Mia gives encouragement, snuggles, and always makes an appearance when FaceTiming clients!
My biggest supporter, Austin. The one who is always there for me no matter what. I can always count on him to give me reassurance and make me laugh. For real, he's one of the funniest people I know and has dad jokes for dayssss.
Don't be fooled, here's what we actually look like on a photoshoot. I was probably telling him how hungry I was. And he probably said he was getting too hot. *Thank you to Gabrielle Hail for taking our anniversary photos!
