After 7 years away, Alexia and Andrew came back to Buffalo to have their engagement photos taken in the city they met while attending college!
We met at Buffalo City Hall to start our session. When a couple shares they really want to capture and embrace Buffalo within their images, including some of the iconic buildings and scenery is a must! Their style is so classy – a fitted white cocktail dress and all black tux. I wanted their session to reflect that and also mix in the fun and playfulness of their personalities and relationship. It was SO chilly (but what else do we expect for a late December day in New York?!) which had them snuggling in close and laughing throughout our time together.
Alexia brought a pair of fun white sunglasses and mini bridal veil to accessorize! I always encourage couples to bring some extra items to their sessions. I suggest easy outfit items like a jacket or hat that can make the outfit(s) feel different. Or more activity type items such as their favorite drink with glasses to toast with, a floral bouquet, polaroid camera, skateboard, or anything else that fits their photo vision. It’s an easy way to make the photos feel more like you and give even more variety within your final gallery.
From City Hall, we walked a few blocks in the surrounding area and ended at Shea’s Buffalo Theater for our final shots. They were so wonderful to work with and allowed me to get creative with them! Honestly, I could have photographed them for HOURS! I’m so pleased with how their engagement photos turned out.
What a joy it was to run around with them and capture their love!
“Wow these are STUNNING!! We’re thrilled with the memories you’ve given us. I’m glad we crossed paths as well, I am in awe of your artistry. Thanks for capturing this special moment for us!” – Alexia
